THE FOLLOWING DOWNGRADE PROCEDURE SHOULD BE DONE JUST ON THE HONDA HR-V HEAD UNITS (2017-2018). USE IT JUST FOR DOWNGRADE, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR OLD HEAD UNIT USING THIS FILE. DO NOT USE THE FILE PROVIDED TO INSTALL THE FIRMWARE IN ANY OTHER CAR MODEL. THIS PROCEDURE IS MADE BY YOUR OWN RISK! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR INCORRECT ACTIONS TAKEN DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS.
- Reset your head unit to the factory default settings.
- Prepare a USB stick for use: format using FAT32.
- Download firmware RC6 (0E.xxx): CLICK HERE (MD5: 73957f3b81056bfccc521d143fa52025)
- Copy the ZIP file directly into the USb stick. CAUTION: DO NOT UNZIP THE FILE.
- With the head unit on, plug the USB stick into the USB port 1 (the left-hand input, closest to the driver). Maybe your head unit will show a message related to USB ERROR. Ignore it and go ahead to step 6.
- Restart the head unit by holding down the POWER and SCREEN LIGHT buttons together for about 5 seconds until the screen turns off.
- After restarting, the old firmware installation procedure will be started. CAUTION: THE PROCEDURE IS SLOW AND UNDER NO HYPOTHESIS INTERRUPTS THE INSTALLATION. IF YOU TURN OFF THE CAR OR THE HEAD UNIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE UPDATE, THE SOFTWARE INSTALLED WILL BE CORRUPTED AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR EQUIPAMENT. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START A NEW INSTALLATION PROCEDURE.
- Once the installation is completed, follow the message that appears in the screen: remove the USB stick from your car and click CONTINUE on the screen.
- The head unit will restart to complete the update.
- After the first startup, reset to the factory default settings again.
Done! Now your head unit is able again to install apps from CMDROID. Do not forget to enter into Android settings and authorize the installation of applications from unknown sources.
